The BPT Physical Therapy Experience
Your Evaluation
Your physician ordered, personal PT program begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your current functional needs and limitations. Our experienced team of Doctoral Level Physical Therapists will perform comprehensive assessments, including postural and biomechanical assessments, gait analysis, strength and range of motion measurements and help diagnose why your pain is occurring if you have pain. Your PT will work closely with you and your physician in developing a Plan of Care that will address areas of improvement needed to return you to your highest functional ability. Individualized goals will be set with you and a plan of action outlined from day one.
Your Treatment
Following your initial evaluation you will start working towards your individual action plan for improvement and meeting your goals. BPT has the largest outpatient therapy staff in the area and they will be excited to help you along your journey. Your individualized plan will be progressed from day one and you will receive a home program to be completed that will compliment your clinic visits. Our staff utilizes many different treatments to help you achieve your goals. Strength and Resistance Training, Manual Therapy techniques, Aquatic Therapy, Electric Stimulation, Ultrasound, Traction, Balance training, Trigger Point Dry Needling, and more could be used to help you recover from your current illness or injury.
The Facility
BPT is located in Stanleytown, VA and encompasses 8,000 square feet of treatment space. There are separate entrances for our adult clinic, BPT and our attached pediatric clinic, BPTKidz. There are two large gyms, two waiting rooms, private treatment rooms and a pool for aquatic therapy. Our clinic has been designed with the patient in mind first. You will find a family environment with Christian values and a team that is ready to help you in your time of need.
