Our Story
Bassett Physical Therapy is owned by John Williams and Mark Okafor who have been in business together since 2004. The owners have run a company that has provided Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services in many different clinical settings including, Outpatient, Hospitals, Home Health, School Based Pediatrics, Home Based Pediatric Early Intervention Services and Skilled Nursing Facilities. The partners opened Bassett Physical Therapy in 2013 with a goal of providing the highest quality Outpatient therapy services to Martinsville and Henry County.
The guiding principles of BPT are to provide best in class personal service delivered by highly trained staff who have a genuine commitment to your health. Each person who is employed at BPT has been hand selected and have been chosen based upon the individual’s commitment to personal excellence. From our business office professionals to our licensed therapists, we are here to serve you, our customer. Our commitment to excellence doesn’t stop with the patient but extends to expand the fields of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. BPT is a teaching clinic and has partnerships with many local and out of state universities to provide clinical learning opportunities for Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy students. Our desire is to continue to move our chosen professions forward and we feel that providing educational excellence to these students is by far the most meaningful way to do that. We understand that by educating therapy students not only promotes the profession, but adds value to the community by educating future therapists locally.
